Mamma Jamma Ride Info-graphic Highlights Costs of Breast Cancer

In a colorful new info-graphic just released on our website, we highlight some of the costs associated with breast cancer and the ways the organizations the ride supports are able to help. The info-graphic is part of an awareness campaign that will continue throughout the summer to help make Central Texans aware of the services available to them if they or someone they know is ever diagnosed with breast cancer. Since 2009 Mamma Jamma Riders have raised over 2 million dollars to help support services in Central Texas including:

  • Treatment for those without insurance
  • COBRA payments for those who lose their jobs so they can keep their insurance
  • Patient navigation and support from other survivors
  • Screening & mammography
  • Free exercise classes for survivors
  • Free cooking and nutrition classes
  • Ongoing support groups for survivors
  • Counselling for children of parents with breast cancer
  • Volunteers who help around the house
  • Help with childcare during treatment
  • Assistance with rent, utilities & basic needs
