October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This is a great opportunity to share some Big Pink Facts and raise more money to support the Big Pink Bus.
Did you know...
1 in 8 women in Central Texas will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
When caught at its earliest stages, the breast cancer survival rate is over 95%.
Early detection of breast cancer through annual mammograms saves lives. Since 2021, the Big Pink Bus has provided over 6,000 mammograms to underserved and uninsured women in Central Texas, navigated over 800 women to obtain additional diagnostic services, and helped dozens of women diagnosed with cancer to seek treatment!
Fundraising continues for this year’s Texas Mamma Jamma Ride through November 30. Your contributions mean that more women have access to life-saving services on the Big Pink Bus! Thanks for your support!
Be a Big Wig!
The final order of 2024 Big Wig Jerseys will be placed after fundraising ends on November 30. Big Wigs are fundraisers who have raised $1,500 or more. If you’re on your way to Big Wig status, keep pushing to get those donations from friends, family, and matching gifts from your company and earn your very own Big Wig Jersey!
