Tuesday Tips from Texas Mamma Jamma Ride

Welcome to the 2024 Texas Mamma Jamma Ride! We are so glad you are joining us. Every Tuesday, you will receive a message from us with tips and information to help you make the most of your Mamma Jamma experience. We’re kicking off this year’s Tuesday Tips with important information about personalizing your fundraising page, sharing your fundraising link, and three easy ways to kick-start your Mamma Jamma fundraising with your most invested donor—you!

Personalize your Page
As you get started on your fundraising, we highly recommend that you personalize your fundraising page with photos, your connection to the cause, and why you are raising money to support the Lone Star Circle of Care’s Big Pink Bus.

Personalized fundraising profiles are not just eye-catching; it is proven that participants who add personal touches to their pages raise more money than those who don’t. Check out this handy reference from Classy for more information about personalizing your fundraising page and watching your fundraising total grow!

Now that you’ve personalized your page, it’s time to start fundraising!

Share Your Fundraising Link
Make sure to always share your personalized Classy fundraising link when asking for support so that donations from your donors are credited directly to your fundraising page. Read up on how to share your fundraising link on email and social media.

Also, you'd be surprised how much traction you can get from adding a brief message and a link to your fundraising page to the signature block in your emails!

#1 Donate to Yourself
The single most important step to successful fundraising is for you to be the first donor to your own fundraising effort. By donating to yourself, you show those who you will ask to support you, just how passionate and invested you are in the cause. The size of your gift doesn’t matter. What matters is that your donors see that you, “put your money where your mouth is.” Go to the donate button at mammajammaride.org or from your own fundraising page. Your donors will follow your lead.

#2 Recurring Donations
Setting up an automatic recurring monthly donation is a great way to ensure you meet the fundraising minimum of $350 by ride day. Go to mammajammaride.org and hit the "Donate" button at the top right corner of the home page, and select “monthly” in the drop-down menu under the question about how often you would like to donate. If you start now, a monthly donation of just $70 a month will guarantee that you reach the fundraising minimum by ride day. A donation of $300 per month will get you to $1,500, and you’ll be a Mamma Jamma Big Wig! Big Wigs get special perks on ride day, like VIP parking and a free massage, along with the exclusive 2024 Big Wig Jersey.

#3 Employer Matching Gifts
A great way to boost your fundraising is through employer-matching gifts. Check with your employer for information about a matching gift program at your company and encourage your donors to do the same. Remember to direct matching funds to Lone Star Circle of Care (EIN 74-3001674) and designate for the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride. Matching funds received by Lone Star Circle of Care for Mamma Jamma will be credited to the fundraiser responsible for the gift.

Remember, funds raised for the 2024 Texas Mamma Jamma Ride support Lone Star Circle of Care’s Big Pink Bus mobile mammography service. The Big Pink Bus helps identify breast cancer earlier by providing the latest screening technology to our neighbors who need it most. Early detection saves lives!
