Tuesday Tips: 🔥Turning up the Heat on Fundraising🔥

We are a little more than 30 days from the 2022 Texas Mamma Jamma Ride on Saturday, September 17th, in Taylor, TX and this year’s fundraising efforts are on fire! Remember that each adult rider must raise a minimum of $300 to be eligible to ride on Ride Day.

Meet the fundraising minimum and receive a T-Shirt and handy dry bag loaded with goodies, along with a yummy lunch from Greenhouse Craft Food, a cold beer from Texas Beer Company – plus local live music, farmers market, vendor booths, games and more!  Raise $1,000 or more and be a Mamma Jamma Big Wig and earn special Ride Day perks like VIP parking and free massage, along with the exclusive 2022 Big Wig Jersey. Teams that raise $10,000 or more get a designated Team Tent for gathering, photos and relaxing after the ride.

Running behind on fundraising? Don’t fret! We have tips to get you going!

1.     Personalize your fundraising page with your photo and tell your story why you are riding. Here’s a handy reference to get you started.

2.     Donate to your own fundraising page and share your fundraising link with your friends, family, and co-workers and ask them to support your ride and match your donation.

3.     Connect your Facebook page to your Classy fundraising page and watch the donations roll in. The average rider will raise an additional $150 more just by connecting their Facebook page to their personal fundraising page. Follow these step-by-step instructions to get started. Remember to re-share your Facebook fundraiser every few days.

4.     Check with your employer about a matching gift program at your company and encourage your donors to do the same. Remember to direct matching funds directly to Lone Star Circle of Care (EIN 74-3001674) and designate for the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride. Matching funds received by Lone Star Circle of Care for Texas Mamma Jamma Ride will be credited to the fundraiser responsible for the gift.

Big Pink Bus: Life-Saving Mission

The funds you raise support the life-saving mission of Lone Star Circle of Care’s Big Pink Bus mobile mammography service. The Big Pink Bus addresses the critical need for affordable and accessible mammograms among underserved and uninsured Central Texas women.

The Big Pink Bus started rolling just over a year ago and in its first 12 months, traveled more than 10,000 miles, performed over 1,700 mammograms at 149 screening events across Central Texas. Of the mammograms performed, 93% of those screened did not have commercial health insurance, 13% required follow up due to suspicious findings, and breast cancer was found in two patients.

As we begin year two for the Big Pink Bus service, Lone Star Circle of Care remains committed to increasing breast cancer screening rates among underserved and uninsured Central Texas women. That’s where Mamma Jamma riders come in! The funds you raise keeps the Big Pink Bus rolling and bringing mobile mammography services to our Central Texas neighbors who need it most. Early detection saves lives!

The Big Pink Bus will be at the Mamma Jamma start/finish line and makes the perfect background for your ride day photo!

P.S. Do you have friends and family members who want to be part of Mamma Jamma, but don’t want to ride? We have loads of exciting volunteer opportunities during ride week and on ride day that are perfect for both individuals and groups! Share this link HERE for shifts and sign-up.
