Tuesday Tip: Big Pink Bus Anniversary
Happy Anniversary Big Pink Bus!
Lone Star Circle of Care launched the Big Pink Bus mobile mammography service one year ago this month. In its first 12 months, the Big Pink Bus has traveled more than 10,000 miles, performed over 1,700 mammograms at 149 screening events, in 22 unique locations across Central Texas. 93% of those screened did not have commercial health insurance, 13% required follow up due to suspicious findings, and breast cancer was found in two patients, who have been successfully treated and are doing well.
As we approach year two for the Big Pink Bus service, Lone Star Circle of Care remains committed to increasing breast cancer screening rates among underserved and uninsured Central Texas women.

Fix a Flat Clinic Saturday
This Saturday is the special Fix-a-Flat Clinic hosted REI Austin-Gateway just for Mamma Jamma riders! See July 12 Tuesday Tipfor more details.

· Time: 2pm – 4pm
· Where: REI Austin-Gateway (inside)
· What to bring: Your own bike, and lots of questions
· REI will provide: Bike stands, tire changing tools, tubes, bike pumps
· Prerequisite: Registered for the 2022 Texas Mamma Jamma Ride
· Cost: Free

First Big Wig Jersey Deadline Thursday
Don’t miss out on the chance wear a Big Wig jersey on ride day! The first order of 2022 Big Wig jerseys will be placed on Thursday, July 21 for delivery in time for ride day. Amp up your fundraising and be an early Big Wig! We are closely watching the fundraising numbers and will reach out to those who have reached $1,000 for sizes. Riders who raise $1,000 or more are “Big Wigs” and get special perks like VIP parking and free massage along with the exclusive Big Wig jersey. Review the June 28 Tuesday Tip for more information about Big Wig perks and deadlines.
