Tuesday Tips: Hydrate and Fundraise!

Today’s Tuesday Tip is especially timely given the hot summer temps we are experiencing. It is particularly important that you pay close attention to your hydration while you train. Did you know that by the time you feel thirsty, you have already lost two (or more!) cups of your total body water composition? Drinking water alone is not enough; electrolytes and sodium are also needed to replenish your body’s fluids.

Mamma Jamma riders will stay well hydrated at this year’s ride thanks to a generous donation from Liquid I.V. Single serve packets of Liquid I.V.’s Hydration Multiplier, containing three times the electrolytes of traditional sports drinks, will be available at every rest stop. Thank you, Liquid I.V.!

Facebook Fundraising
Mamma Jamma riders are now able to connect their personal fundraising pages on Classy to their Facebook pages and get donations FAST! To make sure that the donations you receive on Facebook are credited to your Mamma Jamma fundraising goal, you must follow a few simple steps. Click here for step-by-step guide to setting up your Facebook fundraiser from your personal fundraising page on Classy. Follow these easy steps to integrate these tools and make asking and donating super easy for both you and your donors.

With just over 50 days until the ride, it’s time to pump-up your fundraising activity. Remember that the fundraising minimum is $300 – which is what it costs to fill-up the Big Pink Bus with one tank of diesel. The funds you raise keep the Big Pink Bus rolling and bringing life-saving mobile mammography services to underserved and uninsured women throughout Central Texas. Let’s go raise some gas money this week for the Big Pink Bus!
