Tuesday Tip: Track Your Training on Strava!

Welcome to this week’s Tuesday Tip that’s all about keeping tabs on your training! Strava is a great tool for tracking your fitness activities year-round, especially when training for the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride. Through the “Team Mamma Jamma” club on Strava, we support and encourage each other to train for ride day.

Strava is an activity-sharing social network that allows users to track a wide variety of activities from a dedicated app. The basic subscription to Strava is FREE (so what are you waiting for?!). If you haven’t already done so, subscribe to Strava here, join Team Mamma Jamma, and start tracking all your fitness activities.

Share your photos!
Add photos to your Strava activities … photos could include selfies from training, screenshots of goals achieved and more. To customize your activity, click on “add photos” to add pictures from your workout. Give your workout a title such as “Cruising the Veloway” or “Bike Night at COTA.” Add a description to the log describing what you did and why you are participating in the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride.

Give kudos to Texas Mamma Jamma members:
We all need a little encouragement… and a little thumbs up will do the trick. Strava allows you to give “Kudos” to others participating in Team Mamma Jamma. See a post from someone in the Club? Click on the thumbs up button and write them a positive note. Let’s spread the Mamma Jamma love!

You can manually add activities, too:
1) Go to your dashboard and click “+” at the top of the page.
2) Select “Cycling” or other activity.
3) Enter your ride or activity, add photos and click “Save Activity.”

Like and follow us @MammaJammaRide on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and join the Team Mamma Jamma club on Strava. Don’t forget to tag us #MammaJammaRide so that we can see your training and fundraising updates, too!
